12. “The Ballad of Return” i heard her call my name standing in the hall she breathed into my ear the burning of her smile i fell into her eyes down into the fire then felt the flame recede and open wide the door into a great frontier far from my waking world but i chose to remain and fight for the one i need i will return to you what we lost along the way i promise i will write soon the words that went unsaid i will return to you the sun will rise again over Atlantic shores from burning at both ends i will return to you and account for leaving home the flowers will start to bloom when we find our pulse as one i will return to you we'll gather up what's ours follow by the light of the moon i'll meet you under the stars
